After purchasing the parts from a retailer, you will need small screwdrivers, a heat gun, work gloves, tape and containers to keep screws secure.

  • Remove the back cover and battery of your Galaxy device. Unscrew the screws keeping the back frame to the LCD chassis and carefully pull the two apart.
  • Unscrew and remove the chassis from the front frame (bezel) and glass. Separate the damaged glass from the bezel by waving an unloaded heat gun over the adhesive and pulling.
  • Attach double-sided tape to places where the bezel has lost its adhesive. Reattach foam padding or seals, and remount the new digitizer glass to the bezel.
  • Reassemble the rest of the parts by rescrewing the chassis to the bezel and the back frame to the chassis.
