Westinghouse TV Remote Controls

Westinghouse offers several models of remote controls that are compatible with Westinghouse brand TVs. In some cases, you may be able to substitute a particular model of Westinghouse remote for another while maintaining the same functionality as the one you had. These remote controls have similar basic functions, but each model offers slightly different advanced features that may fit your needs.

Most models of Westinghouse TV remotes feature several base features as well as a variety of advanced features. These remote controls allow you to activate or modify various functions on your TV. Some of the most common features of these remote controls include functions such as those listed below.

• Power buttons to switch the TV on and off. Other power buttons may be present to allow you to control the flow of power to separate devices that you may have connected to your TV set.
• Volume control buttons to increase or decrease the noise coming from your TV speakers as necessary.
• An input button on the remote control will show you a menu detailing various sources connected to your TV. If you have other devices or sources connected to your TV at the time, you can use the input button in conjunction with the directional pad on the remote to switch between these devices. For example, you may wish to switch between the standard television input and another device to play video from a different source.
• Although you do not need to program the remote in order to use it, there are buttons that will learn specific functions if you want to program them.
• Some remotes will have built-in buttons for video and audio streaming services if you have them installed on your TV.

Your remote control will require two 1.5-volt batteries to function. These batteries should be "AAA" in size in order to fit into the appropriate compartment on the rear face of the device. To power the remote, simply locate the cover on the back and slide it off. Insert each battery into the two open slots in the remote control. Make sure each battery is positioned properly according to the positive and negative ends in the diagram. Replace the battery cover on the remote and snap it in place. Now that the batteries are installed, your remote should be ready for use.
